We are QCC: Quality Components Company
At QCC, we strive to make oxy-fuel industry products better and more efficient. From our humble beginnings as a torch and equipment repair shop to becoming the premier source of torches, tips and other cutting and welding equipment, quality has remained at the forefront on our quest to become the leader of the oxy-fuel industry. That is why quality is in our name.
Founded in 1975
Founded in 1975 as Quality Repair Company, QCC started out as a torch service and repair center for local steel mills. By the late ’70’s, we were servicing over 2,000 torches per month from all the top name manufacturers.
Our first torch in 1985
With over a decade of brand name torch maintenance knowledge and expertise, in 1985 we produced our first torch. We identified all the best features and components from existing torches, engineered solutions for common flaws and shortcomings and combined everything into our own, unique design.
Name change in 1999
Having added engineering and manufacturing to our existing repair service and maintenance offerings, in 1999 we changed our name to Quality Components Company.
Shortly after our name change, our torches, tips and equipment caught the attention of big-name torch manufacturers. Wanting the same quality products, we began designing, engineering, machining and producing torches, tips and equipment for several of the top brands in the industry – and we still do today!
With our focus remaining on quality, the big-name torch manufacturers took notice. Wanting their own products to be designed and built with the same quality, we began engineering, machining and producing oxy-fuel equipment for several of the top brands in the industry – and we still do today!
As QCC grew, we added more machines and equipment, increased the size of our staff and expanded our product offerings. In 2017, we designed our patented flowmeter and QC-series torch tips and to this day, QCC is the only oxy-fuel distributor capable of producing a torch that can cut non-ferrous material up to 70” thick.
