Our high-quality scarfing products remove surface defects, like inclusions, pitting and cracks, from steel slabs. This is achieved by preheating an area of the slab to its molten temperature using an oxy-fuel torch and tip. After the surface area becomes molten, a flow oxygen is directed on to it. The molten steel then begins to oxidize, removing surface imperfections. Based on our line of extreme-duty hand torches, our scarfing torches are available with different options and in a wide variety of configurations.
